Halloween Festivities

Neighborhood Trunk or Treat Wes the frog and Av the zebra

Lucas and Griffin-who knows what Griffin was? Everytime I looked at him, he changed his costume... from super hero, to 80s aerobic man, to a marine/pilot??

Avaree and Baylee

Carving Pumpkins

Uncle Jake had us over to carve pumpkins. It was super nice. Jake and his girlfriend, Angela, provided the pumpkins and made homemade doughnuts. They were delish! Thanks for a fun night! (oh, next to me in the picture is Ligia, Brady's fiance)

Baylee's pumpkin wins! She did such a great job!

Trick or Treat Street
We met my friend, Hillary, and her step daughter, Daria, at South Towne Expo Center for trick or treating and games. It was a blast! This is going to be our new tradition if they do it again next year. We got SO much candy. (they even let the adults trick or treat)

Daria, Avaree, and Weston

Everyone sitting under a headless horseman... I know what you are thinking!

Halloween Night

Getting ready to trick or treat!

Baylee and her friend, Nicole, were gangsters. If you didn't know them, they seriously looked real. I am so glad that Baylee doesn't dress like this. I was bugged just looking at her. I was just waiting for her to pull an attitude. That night we had all the teenagers from the neighborhood over for a scary movie after trick or treating. And of course... Happy Birthday to Griffin!

Birthday Celebrations Continued

Baylee and Griffin each invited a friend to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point. It has a corn maze and a ton of fun activities for children but it was FREEZING and we were not prepared. We hit IHOP after for dinner (the only place that didn't have a forever long wait) The hot chocolate was a must! Avaree, Baylee, Nicole, Griffin, and Jacob

Weston and I on a train ride. It was actually really fun!

Avaree and Weston at the pumpkin patch... it was just too cold and I forgot Avaree's jacket at home. Oops!

This picture was actually taken the next day at Nickelcade. I know, I know... Nickelcade? Baylee and Griffin were actually waiting for a movie to start and Weston and Avaree loved it!

See how happy they were?

Griffin's 13th Birthday

Griffin is a officially a teenager! Griffin is the sweetest 13 year old you will ever meet. He is SO obedient. He will do anything you ask. He is so funny. No one can make Avaree laugh like Griffin. Griffin gave us a scare in September... He was super sick and ended up having his appendix removed. He was in the hospital for 8 days. It was a long 8 days but we are so happy to see him recovered and healthy. Our lives would not be the same without him. We love you so much, Griffin. Griffin is a Halloween baby. We celebrated with the family the Sunday before. Griffin chose poppyseed chicken with white rice for dinner. (we like white rice in this fam)

Blowing out candles, of course Avaree helped

Opening presents (his old alarm clock broke... it's so great having him have one that works!)

Baylee's 15th Birthday!

Baylee is 15! Yes, that means that she can take a driving test and get a permit to drive with an adult. Baylee is wise beyond her years though. She is so mature and so fun to be around. She LOVES spending time with her family (over friends) and she knows how to have a good time! I'm so grateful Baylee was born 15 years ago. She is such a good addition to our family. She is so good with Avaree and Weston. She gets booked out for babysitting... everyone in the neighborhood wants her. She is the best and I love her so much! Happy Birthday, girl. Baylee just wanted me to make her favorite dinner at home (stroganoff over white rice), then we opened presents and had cake and ice cream, and played Apples to Apples (I won)

Blowing out candles

Brother and sis
Trevor, checked Baylee out of school for lunch (they ate at Rumbi's) then he took her shopping for some church dresses. I think they did good!

My favorite little, big sister (she's outgrown me)

TAG

My friend, Sara, tagged me! (www.wadeandsara.blogspot.com/) I actually like to read fun facts about people... so I am going to share some about myself.

RULES:

1. List the link to your tagger (like I did with Sara) and also post these following rules.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog - some random, some weird, etc.
3. Tag 7 people at the the end of your blog also leaving the links to their blogs
4. Let them know they are "TAGGED" by leaving a comment on their blog

THE FACTS...strange or not ~

1. My front six teeth are porcelain venears. I had gaps in my teeth until my Sr year of highschool and I hated my teeth. I hated to smile for pictures. I'm grateful for what dentists can do today!

2. While I am on the subject of teeth... last December, I woke up one morning and could not open my mouth to eat. I did something wierd to my jaw. Well 8 months later, in August my jaw was still sore. I know it sounds so wierd... I just thought it would get better so I never did anything about it. I was finally fed up with my jaw hurting... I talked to an orthodontist and a dentist and I now have to wear a mouth guard to bed at night. I guess I grind my teeth bad and my jaw is messed up from it. The guard has brought me some relief. I look hilarious though! Jason likes it because I look like Angelina Jolie when I'm sleeping! ha!

3. I love Dr. Pepper with a lemon. It's the best mix. I love Dr. Pepper period. I could have a gross meal but if I have a Dr. Pepper it makes it good.

4. The most relaxing thing to me is laying in the sun (without children, of course), reading a good book (just recently took up reading and I love it!), and drinking a Dr. Pepper. That is my idea of vacation!

5. I am a little OCD. I am obsessed about having a clean, organized house. It drives me crazy having things out of place or dirty. I wish I wasn't. I know there are more important things in life... I just can't help myself. I have a hard time relaxing because there is always something that needs to be cleaned.

6. I have a cosmetologist license. I mostly just do my family's hair. I don't have time for anyone elses!

7. I miss my Mom so much!! We were best friends. I know everyone probably says that but my Mom and I were REALLY close. We talked at least once a day but averaged at least 4 times a day. She knew and understood me better than any other person. I told her everything about everything. Thankfully Jason understood the hours on end that I would spend on the phone with her. (I don't know how he never got jealous... he is a good guy!) I never thought I could live without her... but here I am. It's hard...I have some big shoes to fill!

Vegas/Cali Vacation

I am still playing a little catch up. Just wanted to post this. The weekend of October 12th was fall break from school for Baylee and Griffin and Jason's brother, Brandon, was graduating from the Marine Corp boot camp in San Diego so we decided to head to good ol' Southern Cal. We broke the drive up by stopping in Vegas. We stayed at the Monte Carlo. We met up with my best friends Janet and Francine while we were there. (Janet lives in Vegas and Fran just happened to be there visiting) We tried to catch some rays at the pool, and of course ate at a buffet. Then we drove early in the morning to make it to Brandon's graduation in San Diego. After that we spent the day in San Diego... eating good Mexican food and going to the Mormon Batallion. We stayed in trailers on the beach. The rest of the time we spent with Jason's fam... and of course had to eat at Wahoo's! Man, we miss that place. We stayed in Vegas again on the way back and determined to fit some more sunshine in while we could, we stopped in St. George and went to a funny place called Fiesta Fun (I think) It had go carts and bumper cars and boats. It was silly but fun. All in all we had a good time. It is hard to travel with kids! It was good to be home. Jason and Avaree at Gameworks in Vegas

Trev and Bay at Gameworks... thanks for coming Trevor, and helping with the kids!

Weston trying to fit in a nap. Nap time on vacation? Doesn't work.

Francine, Janet and I at the pool. (I need a tan and unfortunately I didn't get one)

Avaree and Aspen... so cute together!

Avaree... exhausted in our hotel room. Isn't that a funny picture?

Me Blogging??

I am finally attempting to blog! I am not computer or picture saavy so don't expect too much. I'll keep it simple. I love looking at everyone's blogs. It is such a great way to keep in touch and I love seeing everyone's darling children... so I want to show mine off a little too. I am going to start by posting about their birthdays...

Weston's 1st Birthday

I think every Mother can't believe when their baby turns 1! Weston could care less that it was his birthday but it was a special day for me. Weston has been such a delight to have. He is such a good, sweet baby with a sense of humor! I'm so grateful to be his Mother. We had a fun day... we went to an aquarium (Weston is fascinated by moving creatures), to one of my favorite restaraunts, Bonsai Grill (a Japanese Steakhouse where they cook in front of you. The kids were actually very entertained, which was nice for a change!) Then we went back to the house for presents and cupcakes with my brothers. Poor Weston burnt his thumb on the candle though... It was so sad, it even blistered. I felt like a horrible Mom. However, he wasn't sad for too long because he got to eat a chocolate cupcake! Doughnuts for breakfast again!
