Almost Caught...

Jason is building 3 homes in a beautiful new development that will eventually be gated. Unfortunately, we have had a TON of break ins during the construction process. I mean thousands of dollars stolen worth of tools and equipment. It is a perfect place to steal. No one lives there yet and it is dark and the Draper cops haven't done much about it. One time we had finger prints that they refused to run. To make a long story short we had a bad break in 10 days ago and we are SICK of it so we have been having someone sleep at the house waiting to catch the person. Jason slept there 5 out of the 10 days but on Friday night, we had Wes (Jason's brother) sleep there for us and the guy came. He is nuts... he came in with the lights on and a car parked in front of the house. He saw Wes and ran his heart out. Unfortunately, he got away by the time Jason got there or the cops. (I made my first 911 call... I was so nervous!) The bad thing is that he got away but the good thing is... nothing was stolen and we KNOW who he is!! Wes saw him face to face. We actually suspected this guy and we were right. Wes is at the police station meeting with the detective right now to do a line up. Can't wait to catch this guy! We need justice. We'll see what happens... I'll keep you posted.

P.S. I did find my camera at Avaree's gymnastics. That was a relief after we've had all this stuff stolen.

I love how Cops are too damn lazy to actually do work, ,and arrest someone......but they are more than happy to pull me over because my new truck didnt have license plates on it yet and my toll raod transponder was in the middle of my dash, not on the "left side". ......and charged me 163 bucks to put them on?? True story. Only in California i guess. Arrest that guy! And put him in jail. What a jerk.........

OOOHHH!!! I love stories like this! I am sure Jason was hoping to be the one to catch him! I can just see him beating him up-- or at least searching him thoroughly! Seriously, can't wait to hear the update. Put his picture on your blog for a mug shot so we can all hate him too! So interesting that you guessed it was him... what made you think so? Can't wait to get more details! Ha! love this blogging world.

People who steal are lame! So sorry that that happened. It's frustrating the way it takes the police forever to do anything. Good luck! By the way, I love Bunko too! Glad you are having fun with it!

I can't believe the police are not helping very much! That is LAME! I hope justice is served. It makes me sick when people do things like this!

There is no justice for the innocent or the victimized.... just a little something I learned the hard way.

You'll have to get a gloch in your car, and handle this one on your own!

good luck!

When I was about 14, I found a peeping tom looking through our neighbor’s window early one morning, we spooked him and he ran off. So the next day, my friend and I got some BB guns, one was a hand BB gun that could only shoot about 5 feet, but looked real. We dressed in black and made badges out of aluminum. We got zip ties for handcuffs and went out that next night to catch this guy. So there we were going from house to house looking for this guy, shinning our flashlights in people’s windows. To make it even more official, I had a gun down my pants, not realizing that we probably looked like trouble. While we were walking down the road this cop spotted us and started chasing us. Scared spittless, we started running, jumping fences till we got home. The cop spotlighted our house for about an hour, then left. (Short Version)

The moral of the story, let me know if you want my skills to catch this dude. I will whip up some aluminum badges that could also double as a Chinese star.

Cops really are useless. My parents had checks stolen out of their mailbox and the theives signed some of the checks with their own names and were caught on tape and still the cops did NOTHING! Hopefully this guy gets what's coming to him!

That is crazy. I can't believe you guys are having to sleep at a house to catch a burglar...cops are lame. I really hope you find the guy, he should pay for all he took.
