Franny...

I just had to do a little tribute to my dear friend, Francine. We have been friends since Jr High and we still keep in touch ALL the time. Our children are close to the same ages so it makes it even easier to keep in touch because we are in the same stage in life. Francine has been EXTREMELY sick with Crohn's Disease, especially over the past few months. I've been worried sick about her and her little family. She is such a fighter and SO positive about everything she has been going through. Her husband, Adam, is such a sweetheart and has taken over the Motherly responsibilities like a pro. I can't even believe it. I just LOVE the Wright family and want them to know that they are in my prayers everyday!

Fran has lost over 30 lbs and she did NOT have 30 lbs to lose. She is tiny!

Can you imagine what it would be like to NOT have the energy or health to take care of your babies... ages 3 and 1?? It kills me. Fran is such a good Mom.

Attempting dinner one night without her... it was crazy but Adam is handling it great!

Fran has been on some medication that is starting to help her and she got some energy back this week. Yipee! She actually threw a pink princess birthday party for her daughter, Aspen. She is already doing too much but aren't they a cute family in pink?

Happy 3rd Birthday Aspen! Thanks for including us in your big day!

Aspen is one of Avaree's BEST buddies. We have had a lot of fun play dates with this girl lately and we love her! (and her sister Bentley of course)

Francine, Melissa, and I
Hope you continue to get better Fran!
Another friend in my prayers lately has been, Stephanie Johnston, she just gave her Mom a kidney a couple of weeks ago. So far so good but not a fun surgery to recover from. I'm so grateful for GOOD HEALTH!

This post made me cry!! I love the Wright family too and I feel lucky to know them like I do! I just wish I was closer to help. If anyone can handle taking care of his wife and girls, it's Adam! and Francine is such an example to all of us!

And I am so glad you mentioned Steph because we have been praying for her too. It does make you grateful for all you have.

sweet post. thanks for sharing pictures. Wish we could have been to Aspen's pink party!

I know how it is to see friends suffer. It is super tough. You are a good friend to be looking out for her and worrying about her. I knew her in High School too, and I wish her the very best!

Hey Karlin! I don't know exactly how I got to your blog, but I can tell you that I started out from Tina's (Tidwell) who left me a comment and opened up my blog surfing to all of the WJ High crew. The sad part is to hear about Francine's health. Let her know I said hi. I too will pray for her. I'll have to stop by her blog too.
You are as cute as I remember you and so is your family. Don't you just love blogging so you can get comments from the most random people :)

I love your tribute to Francine. I am so glad she has you! Sometimes it's only the "girl friends" who can make ya feel better. I just love you and Francine. Sending good thoughts to both of you.

Karlin, Francine is lucky to have a sweet friend like you. I hope she gets feeling better. I can't imagine taking care of two kids when your energy level is anything less than fully charged!

You are so sweet! I also pray for her everyday. I recently had a patient at the hospital with the same thing. Everytime I walked in the room I thought of Francine and it broke my heart.

I hope that Francine can get better! She is adorable. I remember her. Did she ever visit you in CA? Or maybe I just saw pictures of her.

Summer... good memory. Fran did visit a few times while we were in California. Speaking of visiting Cali... I am getting anxious to come visit. Not sure when we can though.

Karlin I love your tribute to Francine. I think that anyone that meets her, loves her. I feel blessed to know her and her sweet family. I am glad she has great friends like you. I enjoyed meeting you at the pink party. Your children were so cute! I am sure we will see each other in the future.

You are so sweet, Karlin. You make me cry. Adam is right, I do have the best friends. I'm so lucky. I'm so grateful we've been friends for so long and am so excited to have play dates and BBQ's for many years to come. This has been a tough time, but so many blessings have come from it that I wouldn't change anything. I have a firm testimony that we are here on this earth to endure trials to mold and shape us to make us all God knows we can become. Karlin, I've learned a lot watching you go through some tough trials. You've truly been an example to me as you've endured them well and stayed strong in the gospel. I love you to death!
