Eleigh LeCates

Here is another post that puts life into perspective. Baylee's friend, Eleigh LeCates, was killed in a car accident yesterday. She was only 15 years old. She went on a road trip with another friends family. On their way home it was hailing and raining badly and the driver lost control of the car and rolled it. Eleigh was killed immediately. We've been told that the friends Dad is paralyzed. The two other people in the car survived with minor injuries.

Sorry for another blurry picture. (I need a working scanner and computer for that matter) But this is a picture of Baylee and Eleigh together. It is in their yearbook. Eleigh's family lives in our neighborhood. Eleigh is the oldest child in her family. She has 3 younger brothers. Eleigh was the girl who hosted all the fun Birthday and Halloween parties. She was very close with her Mom. Can you imagine receiving a phone call that your teenage daughter is dead? I can't. My heart is breaking for this family. You just never know when tragedy could strike. After today especially, I am going to thank my Heavenly Father for the children in my life and I'm going to hug my loved ones tighter because you never know what the future holds.

P.S. My computer is officially not working. I hope I can get it fixed and still save my pictures. It's not even a year old. I am going crazy without it!! Thanks to my sister-in-law, Ligia, for letting me use her computer.

baylee. i am super sorry about eleigh i hope your okay. like it is super sad like ppl were reading some of the news reports with me and they are sad. she was amazing and super pretty. i miss her now. like wow. its really really really sad like i always thought that she had a bright future but like little did anyone know that it was all going to end so fast and so tradgically. like i miss everyone but after hearing that i really really miss her and i wish i could have said goodbye but shes with god now and his love is so much more than all of everyone elses combined. like she is missed. she may be a dead body but she isnt a dead soul like her memory lives in all of us and her spirit is with god so she isnt dead. she just moved on. she was a fabulous person though. and i also feel super bad for cami and her dad. i hope everyone can move on but remember her as a great person that she is. feel better!! im sorry.

Leslie... how old was your sister when she died? And how old were you? That is a parents nightmare. How did your Mom ever deal with it?

How devastating. What a tragic story. You are right that we never know what the future holds. We should always tell the ones we love how much they mean to us. Hope Baylee is doing alright.

Karlin-
I always love your blog and am so glad for the memories you've shared. Your mom was the sweetest person I know and you are just like her. So sorry about the news of Baylee's friend.
