crawling

just an fyi... franklin officially started crawling a week after his first birthday. he's been able to get around for months but he is now crawling on all fours. i know he is one but he seems so grown up! it's so cute. he's getting around a lot faster now. i have to be on guard at all times.

the big 3-0

turning 30 is no big deal to me.

i kind of feel like it's about time... i have teenagers already!

spending time with my family (the people i love most)

was just what i wanted.

i did however get my dream car...

which i'm grateful for everytime i drive!!

pocatello

we went up to pocatello for the weekend for my aunt and uncle's mission homecoming. (i didn't get any pictures of the event) but it was great to see extended family from my mom's side! we stayed in a hotel, went swimming, and four wheeling...

notice the four wheeler?? well we don't have it anymore. later that week jason drove it off a mountain backwards. it rolled and rolled and rolled, too far to ever get back. jason was lucky to survive the crash with a few severe scrapes. scary day for us all. we are so grateful he is safe.

Rachelle's 40th

This beautiful friend of mine turned 40.

We dressed up in 70's and 80's gear

and roller skated the night away.

It was a blast!

We all felt like kids again!!

i hope to look like her when i'm forty.

jason and i are weak. we aren't very good when it comes to dressing up. we just wore stuff from our closets. jason looks more early 90's than 80's but at least we made an effort! you can tell in this picture how hard we skated, especially jason. we were sore the next day.

katherine's true 80's gear and 80's hair was classic.

jim is a rocker at heart.

rachelle is such a good friend. she is so sincere and a great example to me in every way. i really do want to be just like her when i grow up! love you shelle.

hogle zoo

we went to the zoo and had a picnic with friends.

my children's favorite was the elephants this trip,

especially the fake one that sneezes water.

the anticipation was so exciting!

red scooter

we know this girl,

her name is allie.

she is thoughtful, creative, and good at everything she does.

she is so cool...

she drives a red scooter in the summer

and lets us drive it too!

bbq birthday bash

it's so fun to celebrate first birthdays,
especially a summer one!
we had a big bbq with family.

the party was a success.

he knew it was his celebration.
